Nokia 7610 Makes Its Debut in the Uk, 7610 Supernova From Nokia

November 8th, 2009

Nokia have now released the second mobile phone from their new Supernova range of handsets, the latest Nokia 7610 Supernova joins the already released 7310 but this new handset is very difefrent in both style and features.

The original Nokia 7310 is a candy-bar designed phone which means that the keys and screen are both located on the front of the phone with no moving parts, the new Nokia 7610 Supernova is different in design as it offers a sliding mechanism to access the main keypad.

Add to this a far higher portfolio of features aswell as a slim design and its clear the 7610 is far superior to its older cousin.

Initially launched as a SIM free mobile phone the Nokia 7610 Supernova can be purchased without having to agree to a contract with any of the networks, consumers can use their existing SIM card and retain their current mobile number, any saved contacts and their account details.

The Nokia 7610 Supernova offers a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with a dual LED flash and innovative theme colourizer feature encased in a glamorous exterior casing. The Nokia 7610 Supernova’s background noise cancellation automatically filters out surrounding noise making sure you can always be heard even in the busiest and loudest situations.

The Nokia 7610 Supernova allows users to match different colours on their phone with the Theme Colourizer feature that lets them identify colours with the camera and adapt them to the Navi Key illumination and wallpaper. USers can also change the look of their Nokia 7610 in an instant with Nokia Xpress-on covers that let them restyle their phone in an instant.

Xpress-on covers have not been seen for mobile phones for well over 6 years, it was a fad that took the industry by storm when users could easily change the exterior casing for a new colour or personlised pattern, Nokia now looks set to reintroduce this feature which will mean that different colour variants of the phone will not be sold.

Nokia 7610 Supernova users can capture images and video with the built-in 3.2 mega-pixel camera and show them off on their TV with the handy TV-out cable connection. They can also store up to 2GB of music ( over 500 songs) on the expandable external memory and listen to their favourite songs on the music player. FM Radio support lets users tune into their favourite radio stations at any time.

The SIM free system of ownership has benefits for many, those who may have had their mobile phone stolen and are not covered by their insurance can easily buy a Nokia 7610 and order a new SIM card from their network provider, others may decide that they really would like the Nokia 7610 Supernova but are still ties into a contract deal, in this case they too can buy the phonie outright and insert their existing SIM card.

Finally, consumers wanting to buy the Nokia 7610 Supernova as a gift can now do so as there is no network registration involved when purchasing a SIM free mobile phone.

The Nokia 7610 Supernova is expected to be launched on contract and pay as you go with the UK network providers in the coming weeks which will allow consumers to connect the handset to their preferred network based on which tariff best suit their usage requirements. It is also expected that independent retailers will also receive stocks of the Nokia 7610 Supernova which will add free gift packages and discounted line rental deals into the mix.

The new Nokia 7610 is one of two new Supernova phones to be released this year, for further details on both handsets please refer to our online mobile phones shop.

Although the SIM free Nokia N85 does give total network freedom to the user this does come at a price as the consumer will actually be paying the ‘real’ price of the handset, because the device is not being connected to a network there are no subsidies in place to discount the phone price.

An integrated FM radio lets users listen to their favourite stations in an instant and if they are travelling they can use the Nokia Internet Radio application to listen radio stations anywhere in the world without FM reception.
